8:30am – 11:30am CDT
Gilchrist Building (T.T.I.), Rm. 102
CEHD Research Enterprise & Outreach (REO) introduces new faculty to the tools and resources available for research and scholarship at Texas A&M. REO and other TAMU experts will help the faculty walk through updating or setting up their profiles in various research platforms. Breakfast and opportunities for networking will be included!
Tools REO will cover:
- ORCID – houses your CV information to feed into all the subsequent systems we will cover
- Scholars@TAMU – Texas A&M’s researcher database enables TAMU collaborators to locate you and your research interests
- Pivot Funding Database – helps you locate funding opportunities that align with your research
- SciENcv – required to create Biographical Sketches for NSF, NIH, DoED, and other funding agencies
The Office of Sponsored Research Services will also be on hand to help faculty setup or update their proposal profiles for common federal funding agencies, such as NSF and NIH.
To be best prepared for this workshop, we highly recommend participants:
- Create and populate their ORCID iD if they do not already have one. This will enable them to have their CV information ready to feed into the other systems that we will walk through.
- Gather their login info for other common sites they would like assistance with.
