How these calculations work
When you enter a total budget: Total Direct Cost = Total Budget ÷ (1 + IDC Rate ÷ 100). IDC = Total Direct Cost × IDC Rate ÷ 100.
When you enter direct cost: Total Budget = Direct Cost × (1 + IDC Rate ÷ 100). IDC = Total Budget − Direct Cost.
IDC return allocations are calculated from the IDC amount using the percentages listed in the allocation table.
